I am soooo excited about the two family weddings we have this year!!  Not only did we get to have front row seats to Matt & Amanda's amazing proposal, I was totally thrilled when they asked me to take their Engagement pictures too, we had so much fun and got many, many great pictures. It was hard to choose... I am a little bias I think.  :)

An Amazing Proposal Undercover

A first for me... capturing a surprise engagement... it was really cool to be a part of such a special and intimate moment!  Below is my awesome husband's videography and some picture I took from the event...

"We are all about telling stories....most of the time they are wedding stories but from time to time we get to tell a little more of the story, no not their "Love Story", their engagement story.  All good engagements begin with "The Proposal".  If you are like Amanda you see the importance of having that part of the story captured.  Amanda went as far as making it a requirement of engagement.  Yes, you heard me, Matt ran the risk of rejection on one knee if there was not photo and video documentation of the big question.  Well, Matt not only lived up to having it all captured, but you raised the bar for any guy.

So any of you brides to be out there with engagement around the corner, take a tip from Amanda and make sure your engagement story is captured as well as your wedding story.

This is one good looking couple!!  Wow!  I had a great time with you guys and you really knew how to "work" it!  :)  Enjoy the next months of planning for your wedding, they will fly by and be full of busyness but try and enjoy each moment!

City Love

Being originally from the "big city" of Grand Rapids, I have many memories of downtown.  Aaron and I have gone on many dates there and still like to go there for special occasions.  I was thrilled when Shari & Michael asked me to take their photos there.  We had a ton of fun trying out many different locations and we got some great pictures to show their "city love" too!  Thanks for being so great to work with guys!   

and even Hollywood(their cute dog) got in for some of the pictures!
